Sharon Philip

Sharon Philip

Sharon is from the eastern part of Kerala, a remote village. His family currently consists of a mother, and sister. When he was three years old, his father left him and his family to care for them, leaving nothing at all behind. They are now moving from place to place wherever his mother could find some work; they have no permanent home of their own. Since their father had left them with nothing at all, Sharon and his family would never get the proper food at the proper time and had a great lack of clothing as well. Their living conditions became more and more pathetic. When Sharon first came here he was very in a malnutrition state.. Upon arriving here day by day we can see his health and body weight increasing, he has made many new friends with whom he is enjoying and having great company, his studies as well have improved for the benefit of his future life.

Vimal Babu

Date Of Birth: 23rd May 2004

Vimal Babu

When Vimal was only 10 months old his father left him and his mother. Vimal is from one of the tragically tsunami affected areas of Kerala, their home and everything they had was swept away, and they were brought down to having to live a small hut on the way side of the railroad tracks. Right now his mother is unable to care for him due to her current illness. When he first came here we could understand that their family was very poor he only had two pairs of cloths, one to wear today and the other to wash today and wear tomorrow.

Vimal’s life has totally changed there can be seen a great child like joy free of the worries of getting food, clothing and shelter. Vimal is growing day by day in the knowledge of Christ through Sunday school and daily devotion conducted by the wardens who lovingly care for his very need.


Vineeth & Vishnu

Dates of Birth: 30th Sept 2003  & 11th Oct 2001

Vineeth and Vishnu

Vineeth and Vishnu are brothers 8 and 10 years old, they are studying the third and fifth grade. They only have their mother to rely upon but she has no care about her children and hardly looks after them. Their mother would leave her children at home every morning and go wherever she pleased noting give a second about their well being, she wouldn’t care if they had cloths or their necessary immediate needs. When she would leave Vineeth and Vishnu would leave the house and roam through the streets hardly ever taking a bath and caring for their health and hygiene. In this situation one of their relatives brought them here.

Vineeth and Vishnu are so happy to be here they are always with some of their age running, laughing and playing together. Their health and cleanliness has greatly improved. They both are role model students in our orphanage.

Abijith and Ajith

Dates of Birth: 15th Dec 2002 & 18th Sept 2004

Abhijith and Ajith

Abijith and Ajith are brothers and are from a remote mountain village called Kozhikkanam. Their father is paralyzed due to an accident and bed ridden and their mother is mentally unstable and cannot take care of herself or the children due to her sickness. She used to physically abuse these children. Nobody else is in the family to take care of them. They didn’t have any financial resources or proper home to stay. They were at the mercy of bystanders. One of our staff seeing the plight of the children brought them to us. Initially they were afraid to speak with other children, but through counseling, love and care they are very happy to stay at New Hope Children’s Home.


Sreejithmon. P. S

Sreejithmon

Sreejith is 11 year old boy studying 6th grade. He is a tribal boy from kosady village. This village is very remote with no basic facilities like drinking water, school, and hospital. His mother passed away due to sickness and his father left him at the care of his Old grandfather with no home to live or food to eat they were under extreme poverty. One our pastors went to this village for Evangelism saw the pathetic condition of this boy and brought this boy to us.When he came first he was under malnutrition and physically very weak. But after coming to New Hope Children’s Home with proper food and care he is physically stable now. He is very happy to stay here.

Sanu P Sajeev

Date of Birth: 31st Jan 2003

Sanu P Sajeev

Sanu is a 9 years old boy studying in fourth grade. His father was a construction worker but had an accident in the job and physically handicapped to do any job now and his mother illiterate poor village woman having no job or any income. Unable to feed or take care of him his mother brought him to us.


Sijo Joy

Date of Birth: 27th July 1999

Sijo Joy

Sijo is at present ten years old and a charming boy who likes to draw and play cricket. His mother is a deaf and mute handicapped person, his father as well is unable to speak. His parents were unable to find any help due to the fact they had no relative to support them. One our missionaries in the area heard about his condition and story and brought him here. After hearing and learning about Jesus Sijo himself accepted and toke Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and left his Hindu faith behind him. Sijo can be described as a bright boy who just loves everyone

Libit V. Biju

Date of Birth: 18th February 2001

Libit V. Biju

Libit is 9 years old boy studying in the 4th grade. Libit came to our Home this year in such a condition where we had to teach him how take care of himself, and learn how to read and write. At the age of four while Libit was travelling with his mother from Delhi to Kerala, while resting in mother hands, she died in front of him from a severe disease. After that he suffered many great ordeals, his father forsook him and married another woman. One from our former student in our Theological seminary brought him to New Hope Children’s Home.Now Lbit is happy and cheerful learn how to care for himself and manage his belonging as well as his studies. He is learning more and more about God and his love day by day.


Bibin Antony

Date of Birth: 28th April 1999

Bibin Antony

Bibin is 11 years old studying in the 6th grade. Bibin is from a village which currently has little or no education facilities for their children and public. His father and mother are both mentally handicapped. There is currently no one to feed or look after them there are no relatives to look after them. One of our missionary workers found them walking through the streets naked and lent himself to find their way here.Now Bibin is studying and learn how to read and write his language his attitude of life has also changed, he used to walk around with his head down hopeless now he is changing day by day seeing that there is something to look forward to in life.

Sanal V. U

Date of Birth: 7th Feb 1998

Sanal V. U.

Sanal is 11 years old and studying in the sixth grade. His father died in thunder storm when he was only 3 year old. When his father was struck by lightning their house had also burned down from the lighting strike. Sanal is the eldest of four siblings. Sanal’s mother brought and left him here and ran off with another man, she has very, rarely called or even comes to visit her children, it seem as though she left her children here and forgot them. Sanal upon his arrival here at New Hope Children’s Home was a very big troublemaker but now Sanal has totally changed his way of living now he is a very nice, responsible and disciplined young boy. He can be seen reading his Bible very morning before any other activity.


Sonu

Date of Birth: 8th Jun 1998

Sonu

Sonu is the elder brother of Sojan he is 11 years old, studying in the 6th grade. Sonu grew up taking care of his brother as well as his mother when their father left them. Sonu had no choice but to become the man of the family becoming responsible for his mother when she would lose all sense and act wild. Even after coming here Sonu is seen taking special care for his brother, Sonu taught his brother to study hard, and set and achieve great goals to become something in this world.Sonu is one our most intelligent boys at the orphanage. He is not only smart, he is responsible, well rounded, and a happy go-lucky kid.

Sojan

Date of Birth: 14th Feb 2001

Sojan

Sojan’s father left him, his brother and mother because his mother was mentally handicapped person. His mother would sometimes run out the house and run through the village and town; because of this his father left them to fend for themselves. Nobody was there to care for them, to even help feed and give them a place to sleep or to love them they had no land, or home. Their mother does at times get her consciousness and stability and on one of these rare times she brought them here. They now receive love, care, food, cloths, books, and a bed to sleep on.Sojan is one of our most brilliant kids he has straight A’s. He shows great desire to learn and advance in all his classes, he has even begun to study from the books the kids in the fifth grade. He is a wonderful boy who toke the opportunity that was given to him and began to run with it.


Kiran Antony

Date of Birth: 30th Mar 2000

Kiran Antony

 Kiran Antony is a very nice boy. His Father and Mother are mentally handicapped and unable to carry out any job. His house is a hut made with coconut leafs and located in remote area. There are no nearby facilities for Education. Because of these problem and great difficulties his father, mother with a relative brought him to new hope children’s home where he had a better chance to be fed daily and go to school to learn how to read and write. The day we saw Kiran we warmly welcomed him into our home and gave books for school, cloths and his own bed. His life has drastically changed both educational, his day to day life and his spiritual life; he has begun to show interests to the Bible and who Jesus is.

Ajith T.A

Date of Birth: 4th Mar 2001

Ajith

Ajith is an eight years old lovely boy, studying the second grade. He was actually supposed to be studying in the fourth grade but because his father had left him and his mother, he was unable to start schooling at the right age. They have no land or home of their own; his mother is currently moving from place to place staying where she can find little work to take care of herself. From our contact and experience with his mother we have to come to understand she has no reasonability and very little interest in her son. She simply dropped of Ajith and went her own way, hardly calling to see how he is and doing. Ajith is now very happy and studying very well. He has now come to know Jesus through our Sunday school program we run at New Hope Children’s Home, he not only began to read the Bible but to memorize it as well.


Deepak Chandran

Date of Birth: 24th Jan 1999

Deepak Chandran

Deepak is truly a ray of sunshine here at New Hope Children’s Home, a smile can always be seen on his face no matter what the circumstance. Deepak is eleven years old, his father had died when he was only five years old, since coming here Deepak’s living conditions have changed as well as his faith, he renounced his Hindu faith and customs, and now he believes in Jesus as his best friend and Savior, praying every morning and evening.He is studying well trying to make a good future for himself, we recently received good reports and remark from his sixth grade, the teacher personally said he is a great student studying hard maintaining good grade and character.

Dipin P.C

Date of Birth: 4th Aug 1997

Dipin P.C

Dipin is an eleven years old boy who shows great potential to be successful if just given a chance. He is currently studying in the fifth grade. Dipin should actually be in the sixth grade but due to illness, lack of money for hospital care and the death of his father he was unable to study for a whole year. Dipin’s father had died when he was only five years old. This year he was adopted into our family here at New Hope Children’s Home. The Sunday school program at the Children’s Home has enabled him to learn who Jesus is, ever since Dipin has come to the knowledge of Christ, it has been notice that a sense of hope has emerged in his life and with great expectations of tomorrow.
